Counts on paper
Typed in later, if at all. Half the items say zero because nobody counted them.
Waste is invisible
Thrown out at close and never written down.
Stock-outs on a Saturday
Nobody knew the patties were low until the lunch rush was out the door.

Counts that happen on schedule.

HQ sets which items get counted and how often, from a weekly list of patties, fries and boxes to a full monthly count. The tablet reminds the team at opening, and they count in the units they actually see on the shelf. An item left blank stays blank, so a missed count never turns into a zero.

Par levels and a suggested order.

Set a par per store, so a busy downtown store and a quiet one each hold the right amount. After each count AIO compares what is on hand with the par and suggests what to order from HQ. The manager adds it to the order in one tap and HQ receives it like any other order.

Waste written down when it happens.

Anyone on shift logs waste on the tablet with a reason, such as fries past hold time or expired lettuce. Each entry keeps who logged it and when, and staff never see dollar values. HQ sees the dollars, added up by reason and by store.
